Open Application Period
October-February
To enroll at A+UP Charter School, complete an online application. There is no application fee. Submit an application between October 14 through February 13. Missed the application deadline? No worries! We are still accepting applications.
Lottery
February
Applicants are selected at random for admission to A+UP Charter School. Our lottery day is February 16-17th. If it’s past our lottery date, we go off a first come, first serve system.

March-June
Once accepted into our tuition-free program, families must submit the following documents for students:
Social Security (if applicable)
Birth Certificate
Proof of Address
Report Card
Vaccine Record
Guardian’s Driver’s License
Guardianship (if applicable)
Family Orientation
July-August
Family orientation is hosted at our school.

Our first day of school is August 28th, 2023. Class begins at 8:10 am and ends at 3:15 pm.
After-School Enrichment
After-school Enrichment runs 3:30-5:30 Monday through Thursday.

A charter school is an independently run, tuition-free, public school granted greater flexibility in its operations (budget and resource allocation, hiring and developing staff, and designing their educational program) in return for greater accountability for student results.

Charter schools create choices for families who seek the most appropriate public school environment for their children. They operate with freedom from some of the regulations that are imposed upon district schools. Charter schools are accountable for upholding the promises made in their charters.
